Dr. Krystal Kinnunen, DAcM,
Dr. Krystal Kinnunen is certified through the National Certification Commission For Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Traditional Oriental Medicine.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Western Kentucky University in Photojournalism and Cultural Anthropology and a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts and completed her doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine through Pacific College of Health and Science.
Krystal’s 4-year Master’s program emphasized acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and western biomedicine. Her succeeding doctoral program focused on deepening skills in the integrative healthcare system using a pluralistic model with an emphasis on pain management, preventive medicine, fertility, and obstetrics.
Krystal’s education has provided her the opportunity to learn from leading experts, including world-renowned master Jeffrey C. Yuen, 88th generation Daoist Priest. Her clinical interests range from treating pain, digestive health, mental health, women’s health, infertility, as well as maternity and postpartum care.
In addition to being a licensed acupuncturist, Krystal is a trained midwife’s assistant, Reiki Master, and prenatal yoga instructor. She studied with world-renowned midwife Ina May Gaskin at The Farm in Summertown, TN, and with Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa in Southern California.
When not in the office, you can find Krystal trail running, practicing yoga, meditating, or spending quality time with her fiance and three daughters.

After a decade of serving families in Asheville, North Carolina, Dr. Krystal Kinnunen relocated to Vail Valley, Colorado, following the devastation of Hurricane Helene that deeply impacted her community. When the storm hit, her partner—now fiancé—drove to Asheville to bring her and her two daughters safely back to Vail Valley, Colorado where they’ve since built a new home and blended their families. Together with her fiancé, a local architect, Dr. Krystal is now embracing a fresh chapter filled with healing, growth, and community connection.
Bringing her extensive experience and integrative approach to Vail Valley, Colorado Dr. Krystal is passionate about supporting women and families on their wellness journeys. She now offers in-person acupuncture and holistic health services at Revival, a local wellness clinic, while continuing to provide online fertility and pregnancy coaching to clients across the country.

A Message From Dr. Krystal~
The experience of birthing my first daughter naturally at a Birthing Center awakened a desire in me to support and empower women during the sacred cycles of their lives. My primary focus is on women’s health with a specialty in fertility, and pregnancy, as well as focusing on supporting women at aging gracefully.
Knowing that Chinese Medicine is one of the most comprehensive and effective modalities for supporting women’s health, I devoted myself to a four-year rigorous academic graduate program at Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts and received my Master’s of Oriental Medicine.
I used acupuncture and herbs to prepare myself to have a successful and gentle home birth at the age of 40 with my second daughter, so I know first-hand how potent this medicine is! I believe that a well-loved and supported mother creates a healthier society.
